AtaSigorta sees 17% drop in insurance proceeds

Baku. Vahab Rzayevâ€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based AtaSigorta Insurance Company earned AZN 2 974 400 in insurance premiums during 2009, down 17.4% from a year ago.

The company said payment for insurance claims increased 4.8% year-on-year to AZN 723 300.

Revenue for the full year of 2009 reached 5 135 200 and expenditure AZN 3 948 200. Profit made AZN 1 187 000, up 45.6% from the forecast.

AtaSigorta, part of AtaHolding Group, has been in operation since 2004.

It provides 31 voluntary and 4 compulsory types of insurance services.
