Azerbaijan posts 7% year-on-year rise in household income

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. The total income earned by Azerbaijani population during 2009 stood at AZN 22.4 billion.

The State Statistical Committee said earnings per capita reached AZN 2 537.2 or AZN 211.4 on average in a month, up 6.7% from a year earlier.

Of the total income earned, people used 66.2% for consumption expenses, 10.6% for taxes, social insurance and voluntary membership dues and 21.6% for increasing savings and capitals.

The populationâ€™s net income after taxes, compulsory charges and voluntary membership dues stood at AZN 20 billion in total, up 8.7 from a year ago.
