Azerbaijan posts 9% year-on-year rise in GDP

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. Gross domestic product â€“ the output of goods and services produced by labor and property in Azerbaijan, grew by 9.3% year-on-year during 2009 to AZN 34.6 billion.

The State Statistical Committee said GDP per capital increased to AZN 3 917.3 ($4 874.1) for this period, up 7.9% from a year ago.

GDP came 64.1% from production and 28.3% from services.

The non-oil sector accounted for 45.4% of value added in GDP, up 7.5 from a year ago.

Net tax on products and imports accounted for 7.6% of GDP.
