YapiKredi Bank Azerbaijan sees a decline in deposits

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. As at January 1, YakiKredi Bank Azerbaijan’s (former KoçBank Azərbaycan) assets stood at AZN 153.492 million, up 46.7% on a year earlier.

The bank said loan portfolio rose by 2.3 times to AZN 29.240 million, deposit portfolio decreased by 3.3-fold to AZN 17.962 million, total capital increases by 65.2% to AZN 42.953 million and authorized share capital went up 87.7% to AZN 27.209 million.

Consumer lending grew by 23.5% to AZN 3.762 million.

Revenues for 2009 rose 8% year-on-year to AZN 13.849 million and expenditure increased 24.3% to AZN 9.447 million.
Profit dropped by 16% to AZN 4.401 million.

The bank established 1 branch, 3 ATMs and 23 POS terminals over the past year.
The number of the bank’s staff rose 25.5% to 128 and salary decreased 11.5% to AZN 1 452. The number of clients increased by 0.7% to 18 637.

YapiKredi Bank Azerbaijan, owned by Turkey’s YapiKredi Bank (80%) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) (20%), has been in operation since 2000.

The bank operates 5 branches, 16 ATMs and 68 POS terminals.
