Central Bank of Azerbaijan posts international reserves at $5.4 billion

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-ECONOMICS. As at December 1, 2009, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan posted its international reserves at $5 365.172 million.
Of this, 5 044.108 million was the official foreign currency assets, and 321.064 million - other assets in foreign currencies, said the Central Bank.
Reserve assets in foreign currencies accounted for $4 805.827 million or 95.3% of the official foreign exchange assets, leaving $0.1 million to reserve position for the International Monetary Fund, $238.180 million or 4.7% for special drawing rights reserves (SDR).
$3 578.875 million or 74.5% of reserve assets in foreign currencies was held in other central banks and the IMF, $1 102.623 million or 23% in securities, $124.329 million or 2.5% in the reporting banks headquartered abroad.
