Azerbaijan to date lent AZN 152 million in mortgage loans

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-ECONOMICS. Since the resumption of the government-funded mortgage lending on 1 June 2009, 1 800 families have taken out home loans worth of AZN 76 million in total, said Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund.
According to the statistics, 3 800 families have received mortgage loans of AZN 152 million in total since the launch of the government-funded mortgage loan lending in the country in March 2006.
AZN 9 million was distributed as mortgage loans in December alone.
The state budget provided AZN 35 million for mortgage loans in 2009.
AZN 14 million will be allocated for mortgage loans from the state budget in 2010. In addition, AMF has issued AZN 75 million worth of bonds to raise funds.
