Azerbaijan Insurers Association may raise membership fees next year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan Insurers Associationâ€™s (AIA) Supervisory Board will discuss the issue of raising membership dues at its meeting in January, said Gafar Medzhidov, Executive Director of AIA.

According to him, the meeting will also consider holding an International Insurance Forum in Baku.

He also noted that the main target of the association in 2010 is to achieve the status of the main intermediary between insurance companies and the State Insurance Supervision Service under the Ministry of Finance, as well as maximizing the effectiveness of the committees established under the association.

"These priorities are reflected in the strategic plan,â€ he added.
