Qala Sigorta targets AZN 100 000 in insurance proceeds this tear

Baku. Elnur Guseynguluyev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan-based Qala Sigorta Insurance Company targets AZN 100 000 in insurance proceeds this year, said Abbas Babayev, chairman of the Company.

According to him, insurance premiums are expected to come most from compulsory fire insurance and cargo insurance.

He also noted the company has to date paid AZN 6 000 for insurance claims since early 2009.

Claims most came from vehicle insurance and cargo insurance, he added.

Owned by AzRe Reinsurance Company (60%) and an individual (40%), Qala Sigorta got a perpetual license from the Ministry of Finance on July 31, 2008.
