Azerbaijan industrial production index rises in October

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s industrial production index (IPI), a measure of real production output, reached 103.1% in October, compared to 90.5% in September and 113.3% in August, according to APA-Economics calculations on data released by the State Statistical Committee.

This index accounts for the bulk of the variation in national output over the duration of business cycle, i.e. industrial output for October in value terms (AZN 2 111.4 million) divided by industrial output for September (AZN 2 048.2 million).

The State Statistical Committee said AZN 17 111.6 million worth of industrial output and services were produced during January-October, up 9.6% on the same period last year.
