World Bank doubles investment in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The fixed investments in Azerbaijan by the World Bank (WB) was AZN 60 917 400 in January-October, up 2 times from the same period last year, said the State Statistical Committee.

The WB investment accounted for 5.3% of fixed capital investments in Azerbaijan by foreign countries and international institutions.

Azerbaijan joined the World Bank in 1992. Since then, the WB has provided more than $2.2 billion financial assistance to Azerbaijan.
