Azerbaijanâ€™s fiscal revenue down 4%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget revenue was AZN 7.2 billion for January-September, down 4% from a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the budget expenditure reached AZN 6.5 billion, down 3% from a year ago. Budget surplus made AZN 778.2 million, accounting for 3.3% of GDP. Budget surplus is down 1.2% from a year ago.

Tax incomes came 43.6% from VAT, 25.6% from corporate profit tax, 12.8% from income tax, 6.1% from excise tax and 5.5% from foreign economic activities.

Expenditure went 42.5% to investments in the national economy, 12.4% to social protection and security and 16.1% to education and healthcare.

Salaries earned by the population accounted for 31.6% of the total expenditure.
