Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Planet Rating has assigned "B+" investment grade rating to Azerbaijan-based Azerdemiryolbank with a "positive" outlook, said the bank.
The other ratings include B for corporate governance, risk management, efficiency and profitability and business and information, and A for financing and liquidity for the first time.
As one of the largest commercial banks in Azerbaijan, Azerdemiryolbank has been in operation since 1989.
Paris-based Planet Rating is the global microfinance rating agency. Founded in 1999, it became a private and independent company in 2005. Planet Rating has completed over 300 ratings in 60 countries which are performed based on its proprietary GIRAFE rating methodology.
Planet Rating is the only microfinance rating agency that regularly works and publishes reports in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic.
