The visit to Beijing by French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen shows that Europe is seeking to foster relations with China, the country’s leader Xi Jinping said on Thursday, APA reports citing TASS.
"The joint visit to China by President Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reflects the European side’s positive will to develop relations with China and is in the common interest of both China and the EU," CCTV quoted Xi as saying at a trilateral meeting in the Chinese capital.
