Strong winds on Friday have caused damages across the Georgian town of Poti.
The winds ripped off roofs of 10 high-rise buildings and a kindergarten, uprooted trees, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.
Locals appealed to the Poti mayor’s office for assistance. Head of Poti municipality Alexander Topuria and Poti Mayor Irakli Kakulia met with the residents.
Kakulia said that emergency rescue operations are being carried at site. He said the mayor’s office established a special commission to estimate the amount of the damage.
