Mariam Tavartkiladze, the principal of Tbilisi-based secondary school No.67 where students were reportedly insulted, has been removed from duty upon a decision of Georgia’s Ministry of Education and Science, APA’s local bureau reported.
According to the decision, the ministry’s audit department revealed a number of violations at the school.
“The school administration has inadequately communicated with students. Besides, the school property doesn’t conform to the inventory results and violations were found in the property management process,” said the decision.
Earlier, chemistry teacher Dodo Kezua insulted an Azerbaijani schoolgirl at the same school. Kezua has already been dismissed.
The Georgian Interior Ministry is conducting an investigation into alleged violence against pupils at the school.
