Usupashvili made the proposal during his speech broadcast live on “Rustavi 2” TV channel, APA’s Georgia correspondent reported.
He noted that the presence of a new U.S. military base will be vital for Georgia.
“Before its membership of NATO becomes real, Georgia has to try to allow U.S. military bases as well as those of other NATO members to be located within its borders. This is of vital importance to the country’s defence and security,” he said.
