The newly-established New Georgia opposition unity has launched a petition to rename Moscow Avenue in Tbilisi after Georgia, APA’s local bureau reported.
The petition has already signed by nearly 500 people. Moreover, opposition unity activities launched a signature campaign among residents of the district where Moscow Avenue is located.
Giorgi Vashadze, a unity member, believes that there should not be an avenue named after Moscow in Georgia.
New Georgia unity is represented by 15 political parties, NGOs and public activists.
