Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia Dursun Hasanov visited those injured in yesterday’s armed attack in Georgia’s Marneuli district, densely populated by Azerbaijanis, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.
The ambassador talked with the relatives of the wounded. Ambassador Hasanov was also informed about the condition of the wounded.
Late at night, on October 19, unknown persons wounded four people with a firearm in vicinities of the election headquarters of the Georgian Dream political party, located in Gizilhajili village, Marneuli.
Interior Minister Giorgi Mgebrishvili arrived in the region soon after the incident and got familiarized with the details of the ongoing investigation and health condition of the wounded persons.
US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly called the incident ‘an unacceptable violence’ for any country.
