Baku-APA. At least 10 people were killed in two separate accidents during Eid holiday in southeastern Turkey on Wednesday, local Today's Zaman reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
In one of the accidents, at least seven people died when a car collided with a passenger minibus on the Sanliurfa-Gaziantep Highway in the southeastern province of Sanliurfa, according to the report.
In a separate accident, three people were killed and several others were injured when a minibus hit an oil tanker in southeastern province of Gaziantep, said the report.
The accidents came on the second day of Islamic holiday Eid al- Adha. Despite the warnings from officials and attempts to improve road safety conditions, accidents were likely to increase during the holidays as most of the Turkish people would go back to their hometowns to stay with their families as a tradition, the officials added.
