British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone call that he remains committed to making sure the conflict-hit country has the capabilities it needs to repel Russia's military operation, 10 Downing Street spokesperson said on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The two leaders agreed the time is right for Ukraine to "seize the opportunity" and make substantial progress on the battlefield, the spokesperson added.
Earlier in the day, British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said the United Kingdom-made Challenger tanks could be delivered to Ukraine in the spring.
