"A drone crash damaged a café and injured a child in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv on the afternoon of 29 August. It was reported later that, despite doctors' efforts, the child's life could not be saved. Another drone struck a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district of the capital," Vitali Klitschko, Kyiv Mayor said, local social media reports.
Klitschko reported that a drone hit was recorded on a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district. Emergency services are working at the scene.
In the Obolonskyi district, a drone crashed in an open area, damaging a nearby café building.
Medics are treating the injured child.
Local Telegram channels report that debris fell in Natalka Park.
Klitschko later reported that a two-year-old girl, injured in the Obolonskyi district аs a result of a Russian drone crash, has died.
He added that five people have been injured in the capital since this morning. Four of them received medical assistance at the scene, while one injured person – an 18-year-old young woman – was hospitalised.
