"Although there are rapprochements between the sides of Russia and Ukraine, there are some issues that need to be addressed at the level of leaders," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA reports.
He said that one of them is the issue of Crime: "Ukraine will even hold a referendum. We do not know whether a referendum will be held in Russia. It is important that the agreement between Ukraine and Russia will be acceptable to the people. "
The Minister noted that Turkey intends to host a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian leaders.
"If you can't solve especially difficult issues today, you can solve them during the ceasefire. That is why we told the Western countries that if there is a ceasefire, the issue of withdrawing Russian troops and easing sanctions should be on the table. We advise our European allies to be prepared on these issues. Which sanctions can be relaxed should be considered now. The leaders of the two countries should decide on the issue of Crimea and Donbas."
