Türkiye could play a key role in new peace initiatives and serve as the venue for a possible meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said, RBK-Ukraine reports.
"Now is the time to sit down at the negotiating table, make maximum use of diplomacy, and bring this war to an end," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.
According to the minister, Ukraine has realistic proposals for ending the war, is ready for a ceasefire, and supports diplomatic efforts involving its partners.
Sybiha noted that the successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces further strengthen Kyiv's position in the negotiations.
