The life of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is threatened by opponents of his policies and international drug clans, which enjoy the support of foreign intelligence services, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin said, APA reports citing Political Lore.

Vulin previously expressed confidence that after the assassination attempts on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and US presidential candidate Donald Trump, the Serbian President is also in danger.

“Vučić is a person whose life is under threat from those who would like Serbia to cease being military neutral, impose sanctions against the Russian Federation, recognize the independence of Kosovo and renounce the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are many (threats) like that, but not one of them is in the East. Vučić is also under threat from drug clans, which we have uncovered, whose members are on the run,” Vulin, who previously successively headed the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security and Information Agency of Serbia, said.

He emphasized that such large organized crime groups never arise without the support of powerful intelligence services, and therefore called for increased security measures for the head of the Serbian state.
