"Today, the military situation in Ukraine is extremely disturbing. There are more than 360,000 Russian soldiers, which is twice more than the pre-war figure," said the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, in his speech at the plenary session of the European Parliament, APA reports.
"Despite on a small scale, Russia's counterattack has begun. For the first time, Ukraine has not had the advantage regarding the largest number of soldiers. Therefore, Ukraine continues to call on EU member states and everyone who helps this country. Yesterday we met with countries coordinating military assistance to Ukraine as a part of the Ramstein. During the meeting, we discussed what Ukraine needs and what we can provide Ukraine, especially more exercises for more ammunition and soldiers. We must show that we will not give up our support for Ukraine.
We should provide Ukraine with more military support than we already have, to achieve peace. This is one of my main messages. To win peace, you must first win the war," Borrell said.
