The Verkhovna Rada refused to send the Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Klimkin to resign, APA reports.

According to "112 Ukraine", 160 deputies voted for the resignation, but at least 226 votes are needed to make a decision.

Previously, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs recommended the Parliament to support the resignation of Klimkin.

In early July, the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky again appealed to Parliament with a request to consider ideas about the dismissal of Klimkin and Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

On June 6, the Rada refused to dismiss Klimkin.
