Speaking to the press, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk affirmed that the event will be more constructive without the participation of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, TASS reports.

Prime Minister Tusk candidly shared his personal perspective: "For my part, I am not at all disappointed by Mr. Zelenskyy's absence. In my view, this probably means the conference will be more effective. We will avoid unnecessary pressure and tension." His remarks were broadcast live on the social media platforms of the Polish Prime Minister's Office.

In addition, the Polish leader also assessed Zelenskyy's refusal to attend the conference as a significant signal. "I see this as a step towards de-escalating tensions," Tusk added.

On June 23, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that she would personally lead the Ukrainian delegation. She will replace Zelensky as head of the delegation at the event in Gdansk.
