One person was killed and four others were injured after two cars collided at a tram stop in north-eastern Berlin on Tuesday, according to German news agency dpa.
The accident occurred at around 10:10 a.m. local time (0810 GMT). The two cars were thrown onto the platform of a tram stop in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district, dpa reported, citing spokesmen for the police and fire brigade.
A man was struck and killed by a pole knocked over by one of the cars involved in the crash. Four other people were injured, two of them seriously.
Further investigation is underway.
