The railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea, destroyed overnight, was used by Russian forces for logistics movements in two directions, according to the Special Operations Forces, RBC-Ukraine reports.
The military noted that the bridge was part of a Russian strategic military logistics artery and was used to transport cargo, resources, and military supplies.
These movements were carried out in two key directions: from Russian territory through Crimea to supply troop groups on the southern front, and within the peninsula to support the functioning of Crimea's military infrastructure.
"Middle Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, in coordination with underground members of the SOF Resistance Movement, destroyed a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in temporarily occupied Crimea, near the village of Rozdolne," the statement reads.
Following strikes on the night of June 22, both the railway track and one of the bridge spans were destroyed. During the second phase of the mission overnight, drones struck repair equipment and once again targeted the remaining sections of the bridge.
"The Special Operations Forces continue to disrupt Russia's military logistics, reducing its offensive and defensive potential," the statement said.
On June 23, units of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence carried out an operation in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the strike, trucks used to transport supplies through the land corridor to Crimea were hit.
Moreover, rolling blackouts were introduced on the occupied peninsula after accidents in the power grid. Some settlements were left without electricity and a water supply.
