US President Donald Trump believes that Israel's ceasefire in Lebanon will ultimately become a reality, APA reports.
The American leader confirmed this in a conversation with reporters upon his arrival in Reading, Pennsylvania. He will later visit a truck assembly plant near neighboring Allentown and then deliver a speech on economic issues.
Trump was asked to clarify whether he still believes it's possible to secure a ceasefire in Lebanon, as stipulated by the agreements between Washington and Tehran, if Israel continues to wage war there. "We'll see. Look, they've been fighting each other for years, decades. We'll see. But it will work," the White House chief responded. He did not explain the basis for his confidence.
