Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev (pictured) announced on Thursday that Poland blocked the Russian Embassy's bank accounts for "terrorism financing.", APA reports citing Teletrader.
The decision comes after Poland decided to expel 45 Russian diplomats over alleged espionage on Wednesday. As reported by the Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz, the country did not exclude the possibility of expelling Andreyev as well, although no such decision was yet made.
The Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also addressed the recent decision saying that the number of diplomats Poland intends to expel corresponds to the number of people who are currently working in the Russian Embassy in Warsaw.
