Norway will transfer Hellfire missiles to Ukraine. The aid includes approximately 160 missiles, launch pads, and guidance units. Besides, Ukraine will receive night vision devices from the warehouses of the Norwegian Armed Forces, APA reports citing the website of the Norwegian government.
The aid was announced by Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram during today’s meeting with the defense ministers of about 40 countries in Germany.
“This is the weapon that Ukraine asked for, and it will be useful in the fight against the Russian occupation forces. The missile is easy to control and can be used against both land and sea targets,” said Defense Minister Björn Arild Grahm.
The Norwegian Armed Forces inspected and verified the condition of the missiles before they were sent. They have already been taken out of Norway. Norwegian instructors trained Ukrainian operators in the use of Hellfire.
