Baku – APA. The death toll in the blasts in Reyhanli settlement of Turkey's Hatay province bordering Syria, is rising, APA reports quoting Dogan agency. Interior Minister Muammar Guler announced that the number of the dead reached 40, injured – 100. 29 of them are in critical condition.

Two car bombs exploded outside the municipality building and post office in Ataturk avenue in the center of Reyhanli. The witnesses say that they saw at least 10 bodies outside the post office. It is not excluded that there are bodies under the ruins. About 50 cars parked at the site were seriously damaged.

Local residents and Turkish government consider that Syria backs the terrorist attack. After the incident Reyhanli residents attacked Syrian refugees settled nearby, but police fired into the air and separated them. The law-enforcement bodies have strengthened security of refugee camps of Syrians.

With his statement “Those, who want to carry the chaos to our territory, will be responded”, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu pointed out at Syria. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that intelligence agencies are investigating the case.

Turkey supports the armed groups fighting against Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria. And that is why, relations between Syrian regime and Turkey have strained. Earlier, Turkey was attacked from Syria. In order to prevent possible missile attacks from Syria, Turkey officially appealed to NATO and deployed Patriot missiles in its territory.
