Official Yerevan has commented on Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin's remarks that Moscow's participation in TRIPP would benefit the project, News Armenia reports.

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan said that TRIPP is currently being implemented in the Armenia–US format, the agreement has been signed, and it is in the implementation stage.

"I would not like to comment on the future at this point," the deputy foreign minister said in response to a question about whether Moscow's participation in TRIPP in any format would be acceptable to official Yerevan or whether it could be discussed in the future.

Safaryan added that the Republic of Armenia is currently a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and transit rules are regulated by the EAEU's norms.
