"I would especially like to thank brotherly Azerbaijan for immediately rejecting this groundless decision by Israel and inviting it to face the facts," Kürşat Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, commented on the Israeli government's decision regarding the 1915 events, which Türkiye has described as "incompatible with historical facts," APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
Zorlu said that the decision was not only directed against Türkiye, but was also the product of a hostile approach targeting the historical and cultural ties of the Turkic world, and that it has no legal force.
He welcomed Azerbaijan's rejection of the decision and its call on Israel to face the facts, expressing his gratitude for the country's position.
"I would especially like to thank brotherly Azerbaijan for immediately rejecting this groundless decision and inviting Israel to face the facts. The Turkic world's position, which is becoming stronger every day from a geopolitical and geostrategic perspective and is calling vast geographies to peace, stability, and prosperity, has become one of the greatest concerns of the Netanyahu government. One of their objectives is to undermine this position and direction," he said.
