AZAL launches regular flights to Atyrau and Aktobe

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is launching direct scheduled flights to the Kazakh cities of Atyrau and Aktobe, AZAL told APA-Economics. The new destinations will help expand transport links between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and increase travel opportunities for passengers. Tickets for the new routes are already on sale.

According to information, the first flight to Atyrau will operate on August 16, 2026, while the first flight to Aktobe will take place on September 16, 2026. Flights on the Baku–Atyrau–Baku route will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights on the Baku–Aktobe–Baku route will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

The new services will establish direct air connections with key economic centers in western Kazakhstan, making business travel more convenient while also creating additional opportunities for the development of tourism and humanitarian exchanges.

Atyrau is considered one of the main centers of Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry and one of the key economic cities of the Caspian region. Aktobe is one of the country's major regional centers, with well-developed industrial, logistics, and trade infrastructure.

Air tickets can be purchased through the official AZAL website, the airline's mobile application, ticket offices, and accredited agencies.
