Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has appointed Mikheil Chkhenkeli to the post of Georgia's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, APA’s Georgian bureau reports citing Georgian Public Broadcasting.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli has been the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Georgia in educational issues till now, in 2017-2018 he served the Minister of Education and Science, and prior to that, he was Vice-Principal of Tbilisi State University.
Note that Georgia's former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mikheil Batiashvili resigned on November 7.
