In Romania, near the resort village of Costinesti, an explosion was heard in the sea, APA reports citing Digi24.
According to local authorities, there is no serious damage, but another mine may float in the sea. It is noted that the mine exploded after hitting the pier.
The explosion injured a man who refused hospitalization.
“The Romanian Naval Forces trained a team of sappers who, together with the coastal guards will go to the specified area to assess the situation and neutralize the second mine if it is detected,” the message says.
Navy divers are currently visiting the site of the explosion, Romanian Naval Forces spokesman Corneliu Pavel said.
