From 1 until 3 August, High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell will travel to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, External Action Service of the EU released information, APA reports.
"The visit will be an important opportunity to confirm, in a challenging geopolitical context, the EU’s commitment to further developing relations with both countries, as well as with the whole region of Central Asia.
The High Representative/Vice-President will start his mission in Kazakhstan. On 1 August, Josep Borrell will hold a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu. This will be followed by a joint press conference at 15:20 AMST (12:20 CEST), broadcast live on EbS.
On the same day, Josep Borrell will meet with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
On Saturday, the High Representative/Vice-President will hold a bilateral meeting in Kyrgyzstan with Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev. Separate talks with Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Azhikeev are also planned." the information says.
