“Heavy battles are taking place in Kharkiv,” said Chairman of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society Murad Omarov, APA reports.
M. Omarov noted that according to preliminary information, the Russians are on the outskirts of Kharkiv, 5 kilometers away. There is no problem at the center of Kharkiv yet. Firstly, a military airfield was hit which is 50 km far away from Kharkiv. Two military units were also hit.
“Up to 50 thousand Azerbaijanis live in Kharkiv. Kharkiv is the most populated region of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine. There are no casualties among Azerbaijanis in Kharkiv yet. The situation in Kharkiv is very difficult.”
