Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has threatened President Salome Zurabishvili with criminal liability if she calls parliamentary elections in the country or refuses to leave the presidential residence, APA reports citing First Channel of Georgian Television.
According to him, Zurabishvili held consultations with the opposition and NGO representatives, after which she planned to call new elections, but she was persuaded not to make such a statement.
"I am sure that she will have the common sense not to violate the norms of the criminal code," Kobakhidze was quoted as saying by the First Channel of Georgian Television.
