Georgian government will be guided by the national interests in relation with the sanctions imposed against Russia, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a government meeting, APA's local bureau reports.
The Prime Minister said that in the current situation, any emotional, unplanned step, as well as unplanned speech is very risky and the government is responsible for both domestic and foreign policy.
"I said in my sppech that as the prime minister, i will anything that contradicts the national interests of my people and my country. "Regardless of the speculative nature of the opposition, I will only be guided by the national interests of the country," Garibashvili said.
Irakli Garibashvili accused the Georgian opposition of toying with people's feelings.
Earlier, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that Georgia would not join the sanctions against Russia based on its national interests.
