"Slovakia's footprint will remain in Karabakh forever," President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini said in a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha, APA reports.
"I am very pleased that today we will visit the newly built village in Aghdam together. I would also like to thank you for the great honor shown to me that the school, which will serve the children living in this village and the surrounding areas, will bear the name of Slovakia's prominent historical figure, General Milan Rastislav Štefánik. Thus, Slovakia's footprint will remain in Karabakh forever, and the children who will study at this school, their parents and teachers will, in a sense, be connected with Slovakia," the Slovak President said.
