"Relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan are not limited to the economic and diplomatic spheres," President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini said in a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha, APA reports.
"We are pleased that relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan are not limited to the economic and diplomatic spheres. The number of mutual visits by the citizens of our two countries is also steadily increasing.
Direct flights will begin operating from October. Mr. President, I am very pleased that this initiative, which we announced during your visit to Bratislava, is becoming a reality in 2026. This will bring our countries even closer together, strengthen ties between universities and people, and at the same time facilitate business activities," the Slovak President said.
