"I highly appreciate all initiatives by President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijan aimed at resolving the existing problems in the region through diplomatic means," President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini said in a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha, APA reports.
"Security and peace are of particular importance to the Slovak Republic. Therefore, I highly appreciate all initiatives by President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijan aimed at resolving the existing problems in the region through diplomatic means, whether it concerns the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine or the complex situation in the Middle East. In Slovakia, we believe that alongside efforts devoted to rearmament and financing ongoing wars, European countries should pay greater attention to finding diplomatic solutions. Our goal is to remove war from our continent as soon as possible and once again focus on the development of all regions with growth potential," the Slovak president said.
