The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Georgia will be abolished, said Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, at a briefing, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, the institution will cease its activities from March 2, 2026.
The speaker emphasized that the functions of the bureau will be carried out by the State Audit Service.
Note that the Anti-Corruption Bureau was established in 2022 on the recommendation of the European Union. The institution checks the declarations of civil servants, parties, and NGOs.
