Gas prices in the European Union have risen by 140% since February, while diesel prices have doubled, APA reports.
According to TASS, European Commission Chief Spokesperson Paula Pinho made the remarks at a briefing in Brussels.
She said the European Commission has been closely monitoring developments through expert coordination groups on gas and oil since February.
“Since then, gas prices have increased by 140%, while diesel prices have doubled,” Pinho said.
Azerbaijani gas has been supplied to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline since December 31, 2020.
