Currently, most of the fires in the isolation zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant are localized, said Ukrainian Environment Minister Ruslan Streles, APA reports.
"According to satellite images provided by NASA, fires in the isolation zone of the nuclear power plant are being monitored. 30 fires have been registered in the last two weeks. To date, most fires have been localized. The fire continues in small areas, "the minister said.
The minister added that the weather in recent days does not allow the fire to spread.
