Sargan admitted that, apart from Yanukovych, the court might lift the sanctions against his son Oleksandr Yanukovych, ex-Head of Incomes Ministry Oleksandr Klymenko, ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and his son Artem, as well as ex-Head of Presidential Administration Andriy Klyuyev.

"The sanctions were extended by the Council of the European Union over 2016-2018", Sargan wrote.
According to her, the decision will not affect the course of the investigation against the said people in Ukraine.
She also added that the remaining sanctions against 12 former Ukrainian officials and their closest allies remain active; they were extended in March 2019.
In January 2019, Obolon district court in Kyiv sentenced Yanukovych to 13 years behind the bars. The decision was appealed by Yanukovych's defense team several times; however, the verdict remained unchanged.
