Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member states have reached an agreement on allocating a €90 billion loan to Ukraine and on a new, 20th package of sanctions against Russia, The Guardian reports.
Under the procedure envisaging amendments to the EU’s long-term budget for 2021–2027 and the adoption of the 20th sanctions package against Russia, ambassadors of the 27 member states must sign the document. The procedure will be completed tomorrow.
After that, the decisions will require unanimous approval by the Council of the European Union.
